Haul-y April Book Haul and What I Am Currently Reading

Another book haul! It’s been a while since I posted a book haul and I am excited to share the books that I got for April.

I know this post is a bit late but as they say, it’s better late than never.

I have a big book buying problem but who can’t resist books that are on bargain. πŸ˜€

The below books are all pre-loved but all are in good condition and some are even at par with brand new just-out-of-seal books. It’s a mixture of genres from young adult to literary fiction from local authors to international one. And yes, because of this book haul there is no way my to-be-read pile will go down anytime soon. πŸ˜€

It’s almost a month since I started reading this book and it’s taking time for me to finish it. I picked this book up on a whim, finally deciding to start reading the series since I have all the books in the series and also the 5th season of the TV series just started. I took that as a motivation to read this and I thought I’d be able to finish this before April ends but I was wrong not minding how thick it is. I am to blame for my very slow reading pace. I was on a reading slump majority of my April and I’ve also been busy. I solely dedicated my whole April to this book and I didn’t read any aside from graphic novels. I took it seriously not to read anything unless I finish this one. It’s 150+ pages more to go and I’m done. πŸ™‚ Hopefully before mid-May I’m already finished with this one and eventually put up a review. πŸ™‚

I am not sure yet what book to read next. Any suggestion from the books that I have above? πŸ™‚ I’ll definitely appreciate any suggestion that you all could give me.

  1. I personally didn’t like 13 reasons why as much as I thought I would. The Alchemist was good. But then again those are just my opinions. Game of Thrones and The Circus Night is on my TBR as well.

    1. Hi Erika! Thank you for the suggestion. Many of my friends are actually recommending me to read Thirteen Reasons Why. Hmmm. I hope to read it soon and see what I’ll think about it. πŸ™‚ Good luck on your Game of Thrones journey! I hope you enjoy yours like mine. πŸ™‚

      1. Your welcome! You definitely should read it as soon as you get the chance. Maybe you will form a different opinion from mines seeing that your friends loved the book.

  2. HA! Yes! A Game of Thrones definitely requires time and effort. Not to mention that as the series progresses, so does the page counts. Actually, the whole series DEMANDS time and effort. I’m just saying. Hmm. Out of all the books you recently acquired, I’d be interested to hear what you think of The Night Circus and The Alchemist. Those are two of my favorites.

    1. 50 pages more and I’m done with A Game of Thrones. πŸ™‚ I’ve kept my word not to read any book aside from it and I’m glad I sticked to it. It was a worthwhile read but indeed exhausting. πŸ˜€ I am not planning to read the next book anytime soon though. I’m planning to pick up The Alchemist next. I sure will post my thoughts about it. πŸ™‚

      1. Hooray to you! It’s the little things in life that get you. You should celebrate! Or something. I had the same experience with A Storm of Swords. Since it’s a serious commitment to pick up these books, I drifted to other titles while in the middle of it. And so I made a conscious effort to finally finish it without other distractions. But yeah. I wouldn’t pick Book 4 anytime soon.

      2. I’ve just finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and it was, indeed, an enjoyable ride reading it. Full of thouhts, feels and more feels. πŸ˜€ I’ll be putting up my review soon. πŸ™‚
