About

Books.

That’s the primary reason why I decided to start my own blog.

14907697_1557509580930848_6586224482397369494_nHi there! 🙂 My name is Mark. My nickname growing up is Bongbong (thus my blog’s name, Bongbongbooks). My love for books started as old as my memory can remember. I love books more than anything physical this world could give me. The fondest memory of me that I can remember is me wanting to buy a lot of books and having my own library (which is now coming into being).

I read almost everything. No specific genre. If I think that the blurb or synopsis seems interesting I’ll buy it and read it.🙂I want to be as diverse as possible when it comes to my reading choices. I want to explore all book genres and read books set and written by different nationalities across the globe. By this book blog, I also want to promote what we Filipinos have. I take it as a responsibility to promote Philippine literature by way of reviewing books written by our local authors.

I acknowledge that I have a book buying problem which eventually lead to me having a pile of books seven times taller than me now (or even more).😀

I love reading but I don’t have that much friends who share the same passion with me. Which is quite sad for a bookworm. I do have friends who read but not as much as I do. That is one of the reasons why I decided to start blogging. If I can’t share my thoughts on a book to someone I know personally, might as well share it to the world.😉

I’ll fill this blog with my thoughts about the books that I read and/or everything about books. Be it a novel, poem collection or manga. Come and join me as we travel the literary world.🙂

Welcome to my little space in the internet and I hope you’ll enjoy your stay.🙂:)

  1. Hi, I am a Filipino book blogger as well and I am a little embarrassed to admit I don’t read books by local authors unless my teachers made me (I’m sure I only read 2 apart from the classics they teach in high school). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know your blog is amazing!
